How does a round of Color Game play out?
Three identical cubes are used, and every cube carries the same six colors: red, yellow, green, blue, white and pink. You put chips on one or more colors, the dice are released, and the faces that land on top settle every bet on the board.
Online versions come in two styles. In a live-dealer room, a host drops physical dice in front of a camera. In an RNG version, tested software generates the three faces. Both use the same probabilities, so the math below applies to either.
Some operators sell Color Game with extra features like bonus multipliers. Those change the payouts, so the paytable inside your game is the final word.
What does each Color Game result pay?
Here is a ₱20 chip on a single color:
| Dice showing your color | Payout | Returned to you | Profit or loss |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | — | ₱0 | −₱20 |
| 1 | 1:1 | ₱40 | +₱20 |
| 2 | 2:1 | ₱60 | +₱40 |
| 3 | 3:1 | ₱80 | +₱60 |
The "returned" figure includes your original ₱20. The three-of-a-kind result looks juicy, pero it comes up only once in 216 rounds on average.
Where does the 7.87% house edge come from?
Each die has a 1-in-6 chance of showing your color and a 5-in-6 chance of missing. With three dice there are 6 × 6 × 6 = 216 equally likely results:
| Matches | Ways (of 216) | Chance | Net result per ₱1 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | 125 | 57.87% | −1 |
| 1 | 75 | 34.72% | +1 |
| 2 | 15 | 6.94% | +2 |
| 3 | 1 | 0.46% | +3 |
Add it up: (−125 + 75 + 30 + 3) ÷ 216 = −17/216 ≈ −7.87%. So if you push ₱200 through the game, bet after bet, the expected cost is about ₱15.74. Any single night can land far above or below that — the edge is what remains in the long run.
Your color appears on at least one die only 91 times out of 216 (42.1%). That's why it feels like you "almost" win often: a miss is still the most likely single outcome.
Can you beat it by betting on every color?
No. Put ₱20 on each of the six colors (₱120 total) and three dice always pay out exactly three "matches" across the board. If all three dice show different colors, you get back ₱40 × 3 = ₱120 — break-even. But when two dice share a color, or all three match, the payout drops: ₱100 or ₱80 returned. Over time those rounds pull you down by the same 7.87%.
Spreading bets only changes how bumpy the ride is. It never changes the average.
Which Color Game beliefs lose people the most money?
- "Hindi pa lumalabas ang blue, siguradong susunod na." Dice don't keep score. After any streak, each color still shows on at least one die 42.1% of the time.
- Doubling up after every miss. Start at ₱20 and lose six rounds in a row and your seventh bet is ₱1,280 — with ₱1,260 already gone. Table limits or an empty wallet usually end the plan first.
- Paid "signals" and prediction bots. Fair dice and certified RNGs can't be forecast. Groups that sell tips earn from subscribers, not from winning. Our guide to online casino scams shows the common setups.
