What changed with GCash and gambling in 2025?
On August 14, 2025, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas issued Memorandum M-2025-029, ordering e-wallets and banks to remove links and shortcuts to online gambling sites from inside their apps. GCash suspended gaming access in its app on August 16, 2025.
In practice, as of October 2026 that means you won't find casino tiles inside GCash anymore. Some licensed sites still list GCash on their own cashier pages; others have switched methods. Don't assume — check the cashier page each time.
Before you deposit with GCash
- Confirm the site. Run the exact domain through the Legit Check.
- Verify both accounts. Your GCash should be fully verified, and the casino's own ID check should be done before your first deposit — it's the step that saves you from a stuck payout later.
- Match the names. Your GCash name and casino account name must be identical.
- Set a cap. Decide what you can spend this session in the Budget Planner.
How to cash in with GCash (where it's still offered)
- Log in to the casino site or app and go to Cashier → Deposit.
- If GCash appears as a method, select it and enter the amount.
- You'll be handed to a GCash payment screen or shown a QR code tied to the operator's merchant account — not a person's name.
- Approve the payment in GCash with your MPIN, then confirm the balance updated in the cashier.

How to cash out to GCash
- Clear any active bonus rollover first — it's the most common blocker.
- Open Cashier → Withdraw and choose GCash, if listed.
- Enter your own verified GCash number and the amount.
- Check the processing time shown on the cashier page; e-wallet payouts are usually fast once you're verified, but first withdrawals may take longer.
Still waiting past the stated time? Follow the stuck withdrawal checklist. A real site never asks for a GCash "release fee" first.
GCash scams that target casino players
- The "agent" top-up — a chat person offers bonus credits if you send to their personal GCash.
- The locked jackpot — winnings are "approved" but you must GCash a tax or fee to receive them.
- Fake verification texts — an SMS or chat link asking you to log in and "verify" GCash. Never enter your MPIN or OTP from a link.
- Account renting — someone asks to borrow your verified GCash for "casino payouts." That can drag you into fraud investigations.
If you've been hit, report it in the GCash app's help center right away and file with the CICC hotline 1326.
