Free, 24/7 help — call anytime
PAGCOR National Problem Gambling Helpline
Open 24 hours, 7 days a week. Free and confidential — you don't have to give your name. Counselors can talk you through tonight and point you to longer-term support. Family members and friends can call as well.
How do you know if gambling is becoming a problem?
Ask yourself honestly whether any of these have happened in the last few months:
- You've used money set aside for bills, food, school fees or padala.
- You've borrowed — from friends, lending apps or a pawnshop — to keep playing.
- You keep playing to win back what you lost: "bawi lang, tapos stop na."
- You lie or go quiet about how much time or money goes into gaming.
- You feel anxious or irritable when you can't play, or when you try to cut down.
- Gaming has pushed out sleep, work, or time with family.
Even one or two of these is reason enough to call. Help works better early.
Limits, cool-offs and self-exclusion
| Tool | What it does | Where to find it |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit limit | Caps how much you can add per day, week or month | Account or responsible gaming settings on licensed sites |
| Session or time reminder | Alerts you after a set amount of playing time | Account settings, where offered |
| Cool-off / time-out | Locks your account for a short break, such as a day or a few weeks | Account settings or the site's support team |
| Self-exclusion | Bars you from PAGCOR-regulated gaming for a longer set period | Request through the operator or directly with PAGCOR |
Outside the casino, unlink GCash and Maya from any gaming account, delete saved cards, and consider a site-blocking app on your phone. Want a budget before you play at all? Use the Budget Planner.
The Wagi Rules: our 5 house rules for playing
- Only spend what you'd spend on a night out. If losing it would hurt next week's groceries, it's not play money.
- Write your stop point before you start. One number for losses, one for wins — and log out when you hit either.
- Keep it to one account and one wallet. Every extra app is one more way to top up on impulse.
- Skip the bad-timing sessions. Late at night, after a few drinks, or right after an argument is when limits get ignored.
- Have one person in your corner. Tell a friend or family member your limits so someone can call you out kindly.
Who is allowed to play?
PAGCOR-regulated gaming is for adults 21 years old and above only. Government officials and employees, and members of the Armed Forces and the Philippine National Police, are not allowed to play.
