Does Maya still work with online casinos?
The BSP's Memorandum M-2025-029 of August 14, 2025 told e-wallets and banks to remove gambling links from their apps, and Maya followed. As of October 2026, whether you can pay with Maya depends on each licensed site's own cashier — some list it, some don't, and it can change without notice.
Set up Maya before your first deposit
- Upgrade your Maya account with a valid government ID so it can send and receive larger amounts.
- Finish the casino's verification — your casino name must match your Maya name letter for letter.
- Check the site with the Legit Check and the four manual checks.
How to deposit with Maya
- Go to Cashier → Deposit on the casino site and choose Maya if it's offered.
- Enter the amount and continue to Maya's checkout page, or scan the merchant QR shown by the cashier.
- Approve it in the Maya app, then check that your casino balance updated.
Same red flag as everywhere else: a "cashier" who asks you to send to a personal Maya number isn't a cashier.
How to withdraw to Maya
- Make sure verification is complete and no bonus rollover is still running.
- Open Cashier → Withdraw → Maya.
- Enter your own Maya number and the amount.
- Check the processing time stated on the cashier page — usually quick once verified, often longer on a first withdrawal.

Maya vs GCash: which is better for online casinos?

Neither wallet is "better" for gaming. Pick the one already verified in your name, use only that one for both cash-in and cash-out, and your records stay clean. For the GCash version of these steps, see the GCash casino guide.
